Probate
Let us take the pressure away by dealing with probate and the administration of an estate
A fixed fee of £650 can be offered for straightforward estates, such as where there is
- A property
- Two or three bank or savings accounts
For more complicated situations, where, for example, an inheritance tax return is required or there are trusts provided for in the will, the fees are likely to be in the range of £2,000 to £3,000. Ask us for a quotation.

Challenging a Will
A death can be upsetting enough, but if you feel aggrieved at being left out of a will, action can be taken in certain circumstances. What to look out for
- Was the deceased taking any medication that could have affected their understanding?
- Were there any suspicious circumstances at the time the will was made?
- Was any pressure applied as far as you are aware?
- Does the most recent will differ significantly from a previous will?
- Was the deceased showing signs of mental incapacity at the time the will was made?
Urgent action can be taken to put a stop on probate being granted until the problem is resolved, if you have a concern.
If inadequate provision was made for you in a will, a challenge can be made, subject to certain criteria.
